Season Add-On:  NOVA Chamber Music Series opens the 2013/14 season with a collaborative production with Plan-B Theatre.  Igor Stravinsky’s classic theatre piece THE SOLDIER’S TALE is a parable about a soldier who trades his fiddle to the devil for a book that predicts the future of the economy.  The afternoon also features selected Bach movements for solo violin and renowned percussionist and conductor Steven Schick returns to NOVA to lead the Stravinsky as well as perform REBONDS and PSAPPHA, Iannis Xenakis’s tour de force solo pieces for percussion.

NOVA Chamber Music Series is a nonprofit organization dedicated to presenting chamber music played by the finest resident musicians of Utah.  Founded in 1977, NOVA is Utah’s longest-running chamber music series and has a distinguished history of thoughtful and innovative programming.
