COMMENTS
"Each piece is so thoughtful. Moments of triumph and pain. Humor and anguish. Passed harmoniously from writer to actor to audience. I was reminded of my own personal experiences and heartaches. How unfortunate I felt in those moments. But today, I felt comfort and thought to myself, "How lucky am I to know I'm not alone."

"SUCH incredible performances! Between the writers and the deliveries of each monologue, it’s clear that the talent is rich in this community of actors of color. I felt so seen, thank you thank you thank you."
- Noelani Brown
"My husband and I had the HONOR to catch this show tonight. It opens officially on October 24. To my fellow lovers of Theatre and the Arts…if you love the work of creative writing and important storytelling on stage, you NEED to see this show. If you want to listen to, understand, and support BIPOC Artists…then you will do so by attending this show. If you want to be a better HUMAN, you will take the time and make the effort to attend this show and soak in the beauty, the difficult truths, discomfort & realities. If you are a BIPOC Artist and you are looking for a safe space to just FEEL & BE? You will attend this show. With all of my heart and sincerity, I tell you that this is THE MOST: Powerful, Impactful, Important, Relevant, and Necessary show that you will see in 2024. The stories are real, messages are passionate, beautiful, deep, meaningful, and heart-wrenching."

"I had the privilege of seeing a preview earlier today and really enjoyed it. And I loved how they paired 8 local playwrights with 8 local actors. Raw and real. Some of it made me uncomfortable, because you realize the actors are people in your town sharing monologues written by real people in your town about their real experiences of racism … in your town. Definitely gets you out of your bubble, and worth every minute."

"Just saw FULL COLOR at Plan-B Theatre and it was truly a pleasure to be there. People of color writing stories ABOUT people of color and told BY people of color is simply a necessary and too scarce an experience in Utah theater scenes. It was so refreshing to hear real-life stories—retold through these talented actors—that were authentic and raw and, in some cases, sadly relatable. And yet there was joy, and laughter, and hope in that relatability. A testament to anyone within the BIPOC community that we are not alone though it may feel that way at times. A big round of applause to the actors, the playwrights and Plan-B Theatre for bringing Full Color to light. If you haven’t seen it yet, do so expeditiously." 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

"Such a moving night of theatre spent watching Plan B’s current show! It was so enlightening and gripping to hear monologues about these local playwright’s/actors lives here in Utah. Go see it!"
- Miche' Smith
"I had the privilege of seeing a preview of Plan-B’s FULL COLOR yesterday, and it did exactly what good theatre does—it made me feel deeply and it made me think deeply. I believe that art should comfort the disturbed and disturb to comfortable, and this production does both so so so well. I am so grateful for a company like Plan-B, for their ongoing work to uplift the voices and experiences of BIPOC artists...if you can grab tickets, DO IT."
- Liz Whittaker
"I enjoyed every minute of FULL COLOR. All of the actors expressed these stories with a full heart. I related to something different in every monologue, whether it was happy or sad or an uncomfortable truth that many people of color face. Great work all around!"
- Bryan Kido

"I sat in on a rehearsal of Plan-B’s next show, FULL COLOR. It’s really very lovely. A collection of monologues, it starts out with a bang and builds to an ending that is a punch to the gut that had me in tears. All of the pieces are finely crafted, brimming with authenticity, and give new and unique points of view. The actors are amazing. GO SEE IT!"
- Debora Threedy

- April Fossen
"Fantastic night watching incredible actors and hearing challenging stories that are still making me think. I was enthralled and uncomfortable. Best kind of theatre. Beautiful writing. Well done."
- Colleen Baum
"FULL COLOR is a powerful piece of writing and performance. I loved the choice to present the monologues in a collective, comfortable camp setting, rather than single actors on stage facing an audience of 40. These are stories that Utah audiences need to hear and respond to, and they prompt a lot of reflection, which should lead to action."
- John Newman
"Really enjoyed seeing this last night. Provocative and honest look at life in Utah for BIPOC actors."
